Basically I bought them because I needed ankle support without having to ride in bigger boots. I've always loved Alpinestars and that makes up most of my gear so it seemed like a no-brainer. I just broke them this season and after only a few hours of riding, the heel of the sole is completely torn and falling apart quickly. Needless to say I was not happy and very disappointed. The wearing comfort wasn't the best either, but I really didn't expect that. I liked how they feel and how light they are, but the fact that they've already started to fall apart is enough not to recommend them. Maybe I'll look at the Icons or Fly Racing Boots in the same style.
