Installation in the fan was easy. When it came time to pair with the smart home app, it took several attempts to pair successfully. It was possible to use AP mode. Then it took even more effort to get Alexa to use all the features. Initially, Alexa couldn't control the fan speed, but has since adjusted. As long as it works the way I've set it up now, I'm a happy customer. I would classify the setup as more complex. But there's an easy way to turn most ceiling fans into smart fans, and it's a lot better than using a switch. . I can control lights and fans independently without fiddling with wires or flipping switches.
