Resurrected Bricked Dell R210 II

My old Dell R210 II crashed while updating the BIOS. It was possible to fix the firmware directly on the chip. For the R210 II I used: CH341A USB programmer (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01I1EU9LG) SOIC8 chip clip (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00V9QNAC4 ). ) CH341A programming software (free) The main challenge was finding the 8MB flash binary in the Dell downloads. Flash image start header: FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF5AA5F00F . Search for it [with a hex editor] and then select the length 0x800000 (8MB) (which is the end of the file here). I put it into a new file and then flashed that new .bin file in the BIOS. First I tried using the OEM EXE but it was an odd length. I ended up extracting the installer and using the file that was in the payload directory. Result! Back in business.
