Good. it's straight in relation to the reference edges, nice and light, good color contrast of the measuring edges with lines/numbers on the matte blue surface, all edges are smoothed out well - no sharp cutting burrs anywhere, the matte surface makes it easy to grip/hold but smooth enough to to slide over the workpiece to mark lines. Poorly. The marked measurement lines are by no means straight, the measurement lines are only accurate to within 6 inches at the withers - 6 to 8 inches increases the distance between the marks - 6 to 7 inches is actually about 1-3/32 inches and 6 to 8 Inches are approximately 2-9/32", 1/32" index mark holes will only fit a 0.5mm or smaller pencil, 1/32" index marks will not match a rectangular reference edge - the very first hole is less than 1" apart /32 inches from the edge of the reference square, which also means the measurement lines and numbered holes are NOT aligned - they are closely spaced but not embedded. In general. I will continue to use this tool for work in the workshop, it will come in handy for many tasks. I love how simple the square is. This is a real square so it's easier to use for a quick line between items than some of the other little squares in my shop. If I had to use this tool for a project with tight tolerances and consistent measurements, I would have to use this tool exclusively for all measurements for the entire project. Don't use a regular tape measure or any other square measuring tool that gets mixed up along the way. The pieces and cuts don't match.
