Review on πŸ‘ FLA Adjustable Thumb Brace Small: Optimal Support and Comfort for Aching Thumbs by Michael Glassburn

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Comfortable with good immobilization

This medium sized brace was comfortable right out of the box and didn't seem to need any further adjustment. It provides excellent immobilization without irritating or heating the skin like other thumb splints. A year ago I fell at work with a shovel and sprained the ligaments in my thumb. I've re-injured my thumb ligaments 3-4 times in the last year due to all the physical work I do as a housewife, landlord, nurse, etc. Unfortunately I am very rough with my hands. This splint is minimalistic and allows me to get all my chores done even though I take it off when washing my hands or working with raw foods. I'm not normally allowed to wear a splint at work, but I could get away with this one. At first I thought this splint is too expensive but I really think I can wear this splint most of the time for a couple of weeks. And that's really what I need right now to be cured once and for all, so it's worth the cost. The two velcro straps on the back of the hand are 1/2" wide and have a very low velcro profile. If these strips don't work like other reviewers have, I would sew on a new narrow velcro strap. The original velcro straps are much nicer in fact than your typical fabric store hook and loop straps It would be nice if the manufacturer could buy replacement strips.
