That's the real truth.

I can't say enough about this brace. I went to my doctor and prepared for the surgery on my left arm, the pain was very bad and I had a long way to go after the surgery. I was looking online for something that could relieve my pain and came across this bandage. For me it was God sent. Not only did it help relieve the pain, it also helped my hand or finger, I should say hand and finger. I don't need surgery now and I hope forever. I wear it when I work and just sit at home. I will buy for…

Incredible, fabulous and highly recommended!

I found this brace while looking for something that would keep my lower thumb joint from moving at all. I have psoriatic arthritis and my joints suffer the most. I like how it looked - open and airy so I took a chance. Ooooo! Almost perfect fit right out of the box - I love that you can adjust it 3 ways with velcro and flex the brace for a custom fit. I usually wear one of my soft bandages to keep my CMC and MCP joints in sync, but when I go overboard with my hands like I do jewelry making all…

Very stabilizing but difficult to work with

This is a well made, very stabilizing thumb splint - just what I wanted. It is very comfortable to put on and wear. The discomfort for me comes when I try to flex the top of my thumb joint. My thumb is quite short and the top knuckle touches the bottom of the brace. If my thumb was a little longer it would clear the brace more and allow me to continue using a pincher grip or something. So it's quite difficult for me to wear this bandage and do normal household chores that I was hoping to use it

Great design with one major design flaw, horrible straps

I bought these for braces because I was designing something called a trigger thumb. I like this orthosis during the day. I was hoping to wear them at night. And I use my hands. However, if you get your hands wet while doing housework, the straps will get wet and very uncomfortable to wear. It's good to wear when you're typing or using a pen to do things that would normally hurt. I was hoping to wear it at night as it is vital to me. To keep my thumb from bending it doesn't work I've tried using

Comfortable with good immobilization

This medium sized brace was comfortable right out of the box and didn't seem to need any further adjustment. It provides excellent immobilization without irritating or heating the skin like other thumb splints. A year ago I fell at work with a shovel and sprained the ligaments in my thumb. I've re-injured my thumb ligaments 3-4 times in the last year due to all the physical work I do as a housewife, landlord, nurse, etc. Unfortunately I am very rough with my hands. This splint is minimalistic…

Pros
  • Rheumatoid Arthritis
Cons
  • I'll write later

I have tried 5 other bandages for big toe osteoarthritis with grade 1 deformity. It's better than the 2 the chiropractor ordered.1. Strong cruciform fixation on the palmar surface of the hand.2. More SUPPORT and STABILITY at the interphalangeal joint to the distal phalanx joint of the thumb to prevent painful adduction.3. No hard plastic/metal over protruding CMC joint causing pain when pressed.4. Velcro straps attach to the back of the hand from the side of the thumb to avoid sticking to…

Pros
  • Postoperative immobilisation

UPDATE: Replaced with updated, stronger belts under FLA's warranty

Update 6/4/2019: I changed 1 star to 4 because FLA finally agreed to honor the warranty on this brace and will replace him at the end of January. Instead of the expected original gray straps with very light velcro, I got one with stronger black velcro straps. I immediately realized that this was an improvement over the original straps. Since then I've worn them almost every day and the straps are still holding up well. I don't loosen the thumb loop, but I take the bandage off every night and…
