I lost the original dashboard mount for my Garmin GPS. I'm not sure I would call it a dash mount. Most dashboards today are made of materials that don't really seal well. To make the windshield seal work - most of the time. I've found that it usually takes a couple of days or a couple of weeks for the mount to lose its seal (depending on how warm it is). I've found that if I attach the mount to the windshield with the GPS resting on the dash, the seal lasts much longer. But it gets the job done, and even the factory part (and every other I've ever used) seems to leak over time.
