has recently started working as a cashier, where I also pack groceries if I don't have a packer. I bought these shopping boxes and got rid of all my tote bags after messing with them all day. I HATE flexible pockets! It doesn't matter what they are made of. When they are flexible I hate them! You have to fight those damn flexible bags just to grab groceries and when you pick them up, everything changes. What a pain in "you know what"! These shopping boxes are great. They stay upright, hold as much as a large paper bag (if not more), when you pick it up everything stays where you put it, they don't tip in the trunk and when you don't use them they don't tip. re stored much neater in the trunk! The packers I interviewed consistently prefer shopping cartons to flexible fabric bags. EVERY SHOPPING BOX WILL BE PREFERRED TO BAGS! The only downside to this is that you can't throw them in the washing machine (just wipe them down with a cloth dampened with disinfectant), but that shouldn't really matter. You'd be surprised how many people never wash their flexible fabric bags anyway. .yuk.gross!
