No, I didn't count the pages that a single cartridge would print, although that number is relatively low compared to other printers I've owned (all major brands). Gillette marketing model (cheap razor handle: expensive blades), the Brother printer is very inexpensive (thanks bro) and more reliable than most printers I've used in the last 30 years. It also comes with a whole host of digital options: faxing, scanning, automatic two-sided printing, etc. Unless you're printing tons of paper every month, these cartridges work just fine. We recommend you upgrade to high capacity versions. The Brother printer and cartridges have made me a regular Brother customer.
