Description of Hercules 15620 2PT RealTuf Sealant

MULTI-PURPOSE WHITE PTFE THREAD SEALANT: Uses a unique system of fine-grain PTFE particles to fill cracks and thread imperfections. SOFT SET WITH NO CURE TIME: Forms leak-free joints that can be tested and put into service immediately with no cure time required, and it holds tight against expansion, vibration, and contraction. HEAVY DUTY: Withstands temperatures from -200 degrees Fahrenheit to 500 degrees Fahrenheit, and it has a maximum working hydraulic pressure of 12,000 PSI. COMPATIBILITY: Can be used on all metal, PVC, ABS, and CPVC plastic lines carrying water, steam, caustics, and dilute acids, and it is suitable for use with all liquids and gases except for oxygen. EASY TO APPLY: Brushable and non-separating for easy application, and it will not run or drip from joints.

Ideal for water heaters Made in the USA

Replaces the full flow heater water drain valve . I used Hercules and of course no leaks. It's much better than Teflon for liquid applications.

Good product, best among thread sealants

Most effective for threaded pipe and fittings. Works in place of thread seal tape. It works because it 'lubricates' the threads so they can be tightened more and also fills in small thread imperfections.

Wonderful; Prevented my hybrid water heater

my newly installed hybrid water heater to stop a leak . I put some on the connections as directed, tightened with a wrench and bravo, no more leaks immediately. This will definitely be my plumber from now on. Sealants available at my local major hardware stores have nothing against this material. Just try it; You will only regret not doing it sooner!
