Review on Simiron Casting Professional Crystal Hardener by Brian Rivenbark

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great for clear or alcohol mixed inks, but not so good for mica pigments and glitter.

Resin takes a long time to cure, in a warm room with resin surface temperature 90-95 degrees, this resin needs about 36 hours to become semi-solid, it takes much longer to fully cure. Resin is perfect for those times when you want bubble-free, super-clear items, but anything you put in it will sink even after 24 hours. As it is very difficult with this resin mixed with mica pigments, especially shimmer/metallic mica, the shimmer will fall out completely leaving the front of your mold covered with the color shimmer that is in the mica while the back will not is. Due to the long curing time and thinness of this resin, the colors flow and blend too easily. If you are looking for a deep filling alcohol ink colored resin that you need for great bubble highlights and transparency, this is your resin. heals faster.
