Review on Multi-port Audio Internet Switch: GELRHONR Computer Supplies for Ultimate Connectivity by Flex Morgan

Very handy when your desktop is hard to reach

I have a gaming PC that's in a rack next to my desk, but it's not easy to reach. This little switch really comes in handy for this kind of situation. This allows you to remotely install power and reset switches. You also get 2 USB 2.0 ports, as well as headphone and microphone jacks. The connection is quite easy if you are familiar with the motherboard connectors. For my setup I wired this up using splitters per connection (see https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07ZGF6NV4/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1). So you get these remote control buttons and those in your case still work. Keep in mind that the cables are only about 4 feet long. If you want to extend the cables you can, but WARNING: You cannot use a regular VGA extension cable with this switch without losing functionality on one of the USB ports. This is because regular VGA cables don't use all of the pins, but this switch does. Instead you need to use a straight through cable like this: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00O072KD4/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1. If you're just using a regular VGA extender, only one of the USB ports will work. Also note that you need a free USB 2.0 port on your motherboard (unless you care about USB ports). It's also worth noting that this little switch offers its own PNP microphone and headphones (they don't plug into the motherboard). It's convenient to add these devices, but the sound quality isn't great. Of course, you won't be happy to plug in your high-end headphones here. However, this is normal for everyday use. Overall, this switch costs about $15. I am very happy with mine.
