I would have considered this earlier but I was so overwhelmed by the chemical smell I wasn't sure I could use it. If you live in the suburbs or in the country you can probably put it outside for a while, but I live in a high-rise city and can't just hang it out the window. Eventually the smell really went away. (although it took a long time which is one of the reasons I'm holding back a star) For the price it was perfect for renovating a table stool. The ottoman itself was in great condition but the entire top was torn between my husband and the cat. (and trust me when I tell you my husband has done more damage than a cat) He's easy to work with and looked really nice for the makeover when I was done. I'd like to see how long the glue lasts before posting a final rating but if that's the case then I have to tell you that unless you want to get into something more serious and... you won't find better value than this reel more expensive invest leather substitute. .
