Review on πŸ”Œ LoraTap Socket Adapter - Enhanced Compatibility and Control by Alexander Scharon

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Inconspicuous, chunky and uneven bulb body.

Great from a technical point of view. and sometimes. Basically, you plug the adapter into the lightweight case, download the app, press the button, do a bunch of other things, and then you also have to manually add it to your Google Home. With an LED lamp, it most likely will not fit in the dome. I had to change it to a kitchen light cover that leaves the bulb exposed. After installation I noticed that my lightbulb wasn't even in the adapter and it looked like it was tilted diagonally. Within a day or two, the light will just turn itself on and off without a request from Google Home. I took the unit apart and it turned out that my low temperature LED bulb could melt some of the surrounding plastic due to the uneven housing. Because of the bulkiness (hence ease of use with limited types of lights), difficulty to set up (my video doorbell was easier than this one), as well as issues with the uneven lamp body and random turning on and off, I can't recommend it as it is nobody. I returned mine.

Pros
  • Group Control: Put all the smart lamp holders in a group, you can turn them all off with one command. A WLAN socket can be controlled by several mobile phones. Share it with your family members, everyone can easily manage it. Ideal for hard-to-reach lamps without an ON/OFF switch
