This is a tool I only use a couple of times a year so I agreed to buy an unknown brand for a fraction of the price. For years I have struggled to drill through concrete with a conventional drill bit and a masonry bit. It changed the rules of the game. We had to drill 32 holes in the concrete bases for the canopy that we put up and it was like drilling oil. Super quick and easy! This requires a special drill bit, but there are three included in the kit and we were lucky that one was ideal for expansion anchors. The only criticism is that the instructions are very poorly written. They don't really tell you how to use the drill and what the different settings are. There are two switches and with a little detective work I was able to figure out how they work. The one on the side toggles the hammer function on or off, and the one next to the handle toggles the drill function on and off. You need both to drill in concrete. You can also use it as a regular drill or for drilling in concrete. We tried using it to gouge out a piece of 2" slab of stone, but it only left a dent, so I can't attest to the power of that gouging. Also, the instructions say you have to turn the drill counter-clockwise a quarter turn to insert it. That's not true at all - it's a quick-release mechanism, where you pull back on the front of the drill to insert or release the drill. It is ideal for concrete drills. It's quite heavy and feels sturdy. The case is thin cheap plastic, damaged inside, but the drill is fine for storage and transport.
