I really wanted the Apple Keyboard because it's thinner, doesn't require charging, and is splash-proof. BUT. This keyboard was cheaper! It also serves its purpose. I like function keys. It can only be mine, but it's hard to toggle on and off. The instructions say to press for 3 seconds, but I had to do this multiple times. It's very hard to tell if it's enabled or not until I check if it prints. I want there to be a sound or notification that the power is turning on and off. There's no battery % indicator either, you just have to keep an eye on the flashing red light. I followed the instructions to establish a Bluetooth connection (fn+C) but the settings screen to establish a connection did not open. I have to manually go into the Settings app to connect, which isn't a big deal, but the instructions should be rewritten. Lighting is a plus! And they got it right with an extra flap to fold in an apple pencil (I don't have one yet, but it's a feature I'd love to have). Apart from that everything is alright!
