I copied this review from another reviewer because it was exactly the same thing. I picked this desk because of the beautiful design. After spending 2.5 hours trying to get the bolts in at the correct length (and stripping the plastic socket) I was not able to get the desk sturdy I threw my screwdriver across the room and gave up. I've put a lot of furniture together but this was ridiculous. It could have been very easy to put together if only the manufacturer didn't cut corners. The reviewer below hit the problem right on the nail.There are some basic problems with this desk. Namely, the bolts are missing the typical flange on the threaded side which prevents the bolt from being screwed in too deep or not deep enough. You're left to eyeball the bolt depth which is troublesome because, if you get it wrong on a single bolt the locking nut won't reach the bolt.The second problem is the plastic sockets embedded in the pressed particle board. Particle board has been an industry standard for a long time and that's not really the problem with this set. Instead, the plastic socket doesn't do well with more than one insertion of a bolt. So, when trying to get the bolt in at the right depth, the threading on the socket becomes loose. You're then left with a wobbly piece of furniture.If you've bought this, and have access to a drill set my advice would be to cut some shimmies and drill in your own holes to shore up the joints. I've seen worse but this could have been a lot better.As far as the design, other than sturdiness it is a pretty desk and does have ample desktop space. It just looks like the manufacturer cut corners.
