This lighter weight portable light box is a real treat. He's super skinny. It is powered by USB. The dining area is huge and the light output is super even. Also, it's magnetic so you can split your layered sheets on its surface. My daughter uses it to copy the drawings and cartoons she loves to draw. I use it in my professional digital workflow. I can sketch and refine ideas on paper. Then I can merge them and draw on this lightbox. They can then be scanned into Illustrator where they can be vectorized and colored. Although I can draw on a Wacom tablet, nothing beats traditional media. Since light tables are no longer out of the studio in the digital age, it can be difficult to get ideas down on paper quickly. This light box is a godsend and worth its weight in gold because it gives you so much flexibility without the need for a huge custom piece of furniture that is rarely used. Or just buy it for the kids!
