Review on PerTronix 91481 Ignitor Adaptive Cylinder by Larry Sabey

The first sensor I received failed within 48 hours but I contacted Pertronix and they sent me a replacement which works great. Your customer support was very helpful. Recently returned from a 1200 mile round trip after a 4 wheel drive through the mountains of New Mexico. I've had 9mpg on previous trips but this one has fluctuated between 10.5 and 14mpg. The engine starts easier than with goggles, but I keep spare goggles and a capacitor in the glove box just in case. For my setup I bypassed the ballast resistor and connected 12V directly to the series coil, removing the wire from the solenoid to the ballast resistor and then to the coil. I also cleaned the negative ground from the battery to the motor very well (this is important). Going from point to electronics requires retuning the engine and readjusting the idle mixture screws. So be prepared to do or do it.
