When we were decorating for Halloween I bought (2) of these in purple. It is easy to decorate copper with it. Set to a mode. Every time I turned the light off and on again the next night, the same light pattern stayed and turned back on immediately. I turned off the light as I went to bed. So you will work about 4 hours a day for about 3 weeks. Batteries never had to be changed. and the hulls were indeed watertight. Loved this product. The remote controls worked great.
