Review on 🐠 Optimal for Aquariums: CaribSea Super Naturals Sand for Enhanced Water Environments by Vanessa Garcia

This sand is beautiful and incredibly soft! There used to be a dark substrate, but I decided to switch to this one. Sand is sand but I've dealt with quite a few and this one really is softer than any other IME aquarium sand. I highly recommend it to corridors (I have 15 of these) or other bottom dwellers with sensitive barbels. RINSE VERY WELL! Kinda overdo it. I thought I flushed it out and in the end the tank was so cloudy I couldn't see anything after a week. It was uncomfortable, but it was nobody's fault but me. Super soft sand = finer grit. Fine grains = rather cloudy and floating in the water column for a while. Just be smarter than me in this regard and you will be very happy with the product. If your aquarium is heavily planted and decorated, use a pound per gallon. Otherwise go to 2 lb/gal. I only used one bag for my 60 gallons (48 x 13 feet). Definitely recommend/buy again if needed.
