If you are in the market for some plain leather oxford shoes, these wouldn't be a bad choice, if your shoe budget isn't particularly high. For me, I had a pair of Dr Martens oxfords for years and years, some of my favorite shoes. These Arkbird shoes don't measure up, but this is more about personal taste than the quality of the shoe. It's not entirely fair to compare the two, but my brain keeps doing it! These shoes look great from the side, but from the top, while you're wearing them, they are very narrow. From a looks standpoint this makes them seem a little dainty to me. Again, personal preference. The photos here on the product's page show the shoes well, as you can see there's not a lot of tread on them. So, not meant for heavy use, I suspect.Fit-wise, I'd say they run a little small. Being leather shoes, they will have a little "give" as you break them in, but if you're one of those borderline size people, go with the 1/2 size up. And along with the look issue above, I'd say that if you usually NEED a wider shoe, these won't be comfortable.
