I ordered these for my son as he turned 16. The photos show use of the shoes for several months being worn at least once weekly.As a general statement, these are very good shoes for a good price. It's difficult to find leather shoes that are well-made and stand up over time within the price range you'll get these here on ebay. For the record, I do believe these are real leather even though it behaves a little bit differently than I would expect from the other leather shoes I have owned over the years.This shoe is well-made. IMO they are a tad heavy and just a bit "clunky" for a dress shoe. However, my son loves them so I can't complain. And, they have held up very well to his use with very little effort having to be taken to keep them looking good. That said, they are now do for a shine but otherwise everything has held up perfectly. My son is actually quite picky when it comes to how shoes fit and feel and I will say that he really likes these and likes the feel of them around his ankle, the size of the toe box and so forth. He's able to lace them down nice and snug and likes the way they look.My son uses custom orthotics and we had to completely remove the original insole which is glued down to the bottom of the footbed. Makes the inside of the shoe look quite ugly when he shifts his orthotics into any of his other shoes.As I compare how these shoes have held up to similar looking and priced shoes made by dockers, sketchers, and several other brands sold at the big mall department stores I think these are actually better, and much better considering the price. Typically for $50 you're not going to get this quality at the department stores, unless you're fortunate to find something normally in the $80-$100 range on sale. If you're looking for a dress shoe that has a bit of a outdoorsy look, a bit more rugged, add these to your shopping list and compare them with others. They are well-made and you won't be disappointed.
