This product kept popping up on my FB feed and as we have 3 cats and 5 cat beds I thought it might be worth a try. This works with one important caveat: use a light touch. My instinct was to apply pressure when using it, but I've found it works best with a light touch. This meant a few passes (albeit less than a lint brush), but with a light touch it became less sticky and picked up fur further. The product's head is like a really SMALL rake, so it rips and tears at the fibers. I don't think I'll be using this for clothes I care about, but it's fine for cat/dog beds. She definitely understood 3 typical pet store beds that were fur fabric, but pulled out more fur than a lint brush when she "combed" between the fibers. 2, which looked more like pillows bought from Ikea, didn't snag and the fur got caught between the waffle design again. I then tried it out on a piece of dollar store rug that lines the basket that holds one of Ikea's pillows, but the cats lie on it when the pillow is washed. It has virtually no lint, so a very light touch has proven effective. The only downside, and I don't think it can be circumvented, is dirt getting stuck between the teeth. You can knock them out, but I reckon it'll probably hurt you a little. As a result, I tried it out on a quilted bedspread on our bed (because 5 cat beds aren't enough - they want ours). It didn't work there either. He catches backstitches. Rotating the device so that it was completely perpendicular to the quilted case did the trick, but again, a VERY light touch or it would still get stuck. Overall, it works better and faster than sticky lint sheets and is much more environmentally friendly. I will definitely say it's worth it!
