July 27, 2018: Recently purchased a complete Garmin dash mount and the lever has the same tool holes and molding marks as the AccessoryBasics part so I have the visual differences below described. only compared to the old Garmin ball levers. Years ago I bought a Garmin dash base (not a ball joint) for an older GPS that used a different type of dash base adapter. (single) ball arm for their later GPS clamps which I have used from time to time with either the old dash or rattle mount. Finally, I always have a ball lever with any attachment ready. The AccessoryBasics articulating arm fits my mounts and GPS clamp just like a Garmin part would. <strike>I only found visual differences</strike>. A few small (instrumental?) holes in the base of the lever and a continued mold mark around the <strike>ball end are signs that something is wrong,</strike> but doesn't detract from use. If you need a replacement part or replacement Garmin compatible ball arm, this part will work.
