Only buy this collar if you are not planning on leaving it with your dog but just want to take something for a walk. This is due to the VERY small size of the battery. Don't use the buzzer either, your dog won't hear it! I have used several dog collars over the past 10 years and decided to pay double what I paid in the past ($120) to get a better performing collar (past). were uncomfortable to use or the battery life deteriorated) and I have to say that at this price point this collar does not live up to my expectations. You can double or triple the battery life (up to 1 week on standby) by moving the charging base to allow for a larger battery. Disadvantages1. Battery life only 2-3 days (new), no use, just idle. This will decrease after 1 year (previous collars went 1-2 weeks).2. In the event of wind or movement, the animal will not be able to hear the beep (this is due to the forced placement of the buzzer inside the device (on the dog's neck). Turning it inside out and using a louder buzzer will solve the problem. 3.Much longer than other dog collars.4.Waterproof charging port cover broke after 4 months (minimum use)5.Remote has no auto power off, so stays on all the time while the battery dies Advantages 1.Remote is easy to use 2 .Distance is better than most BUT definitely not worth $120 more like $40.
