I purchased this velcro on my hiking/hunting backpack for quick identification of the pocket where I keep my tourniquet and other medical items. A tourniquet is one of the most important medical items to carry when hiking or hunting, and having quick access to it can save lives. However, in an emergency where someone needs to help me, I cannot tell them where I keep my personal first aid kit. That's where this patch comes in handy - simply attach it with Velcro to the outside of any bag or pocket your TQ is in so everyone can quickly locate your essential medical supplies. So that my IFAK is easy to recognize in every situation, I combine it with a bright red cross.
