NOT the easiest shaker to clean, but it's PERFECT.

What *NOT* did I know about this amazing shaker? It uses silicone gaskets and not one but two. I mention this because it's really the only downside, but they are necessary. That aside, this is truly the best cocktail shaker I've ever used, and my proof that when making a Whiskey Sour, (A) the egg "foam" never comes out during a dry cocktail and (B) my hands never get cold with ice cream make time. - Added shaking. Ha! Now back to the silicone pads. One for the large lid (which surprisingly doubles as a large capacity measuring cup) and the other for the small top lid, which I don't like because it can easily hide old cocktail residue, so you MUST take it off and clean it (just rinse it in the faucet) as it immediately goes out and back in). It doesn't take much but for some reason the Craft includes a free extra BIG liner for the large lid but NOT an extra small liner which I take out to clean after each use and feel that would be most convenient. it will most likely need to be replaced first. Why is this little pad so important? Well, my small top screws screw in at a bit of an angle, but I think that's because they tap that area with wider threads for quick and easy screwing in and out, and thus the silicone gasket provides a tighter fit. I think I'd prefer a small top cap with slightly thinner threads so that (A) it doesn't look a little crooked when screwed in and (B) reduces the risk of long-term leakage once the silicone seal wears out. because believe me: I will use this thing often! :D
