Revainrating 3 out of 5

It works but has issues

Edit: The company has repeatedly tried to get me to remove this review by offering gift cards. While I think the product still deserves 3 stars, be aware that the company is trying to remove reviews with less than 5 stars, so don't think the reviews are accurate. First review: I have connected a Smart TV headset and optical output (no Smart TV Specter 4k). After some switching between the two outputs and fiddling with the TV settings I got it working but there are some issues. Firstly, this is the only BT product with the lag description I used. It's also the first to have a latency issue. I couldn't fix the audio delay on my Smartomi headphones, Mwow BT headset or my old BT Plantronics stereo headset. I haven't had any issues with these devices and they connect to my iPad, Windows PC and iPhone with no issues. With this channel, dialogue is delayed enough to be heard. There is a lot of material in the codec guide but there isn't much I can do about it as none of the devices I use have the ability to update to newer versions and I don't have any devices with newer protocols. . I'll leave it as my goal is to watch late night TV without disturbing anyone. I can live with the lag, but it's not great. It's just better than subtitles for everything. I tried both the aux out and the digital out and ended up with the aux out because I can control the volume with the TV volume knob and not the digital out. The volume control on the device does not work when there is no connection. My TV has a "speakers off" setting, which is useful as the volume remote still affects volume through the device and headphones. Overall, it's okay for the price ($25 on sale). It just has some trouble turning the sound on and off, no way to fix the lag, and I had to fiddle with the TV settings to get it working at all.
