I am going on a world cruise, and so I downloaded a navigation application for windows from [.] called navigator free. And yes, it is free. After installing it, you download the maps you want - one for each country (or for each state for the US). I will be going to 25 countries around the world and so I downloaded them all. Everytime you run the setup program, it looks to see if there are any map updates and will reload them if needed. Note there are free maps and there are maps they charge for. Free was good enough for me.And on a lark (because it was so inexpensive) I bought this GPS to plug in to the usb port in my Windows 10 tablet. It took a couple minutes, but the green light started blinking. I started up the software, selected this GPS device, and viola, it honed in on my location in a matter of seconds. That was easy! Now, I am not going to be navigating with this, but it will be great to follow where we are as we circle the globe
