I try to choose sustainable products. And I was surprised how hard it was to find biodegradable garbage bags. Since we deal with so many of these things, and since making biodegradable plastic (from what I've read recently) isn't that difficult, why on earth are we still throwing so many millions of non-degradable bags with all our Trash away ? I bought them to line the trash can where I throw more biodegradable bags of dog poop. I just couldn't keep throwing out big plastic bags with new plastic bags because I knew they would last practically forever. They are not cheap compared to normal garbage bags at around 50 cents per bag. They are light but strong enough. I would like to be able to order more sizes. This fits in a large bin, but it would be great to be the size of a kitchen bin. Other reviewers point out that these packets can take several years to decompose. It is true that their degradability depends on the environment in which they are disposed of. However, three years against hundreds and according to some estimates not at all. I would say that 3 years is not that bad. Not 5 stars because they are expensive.
