We have recently downsized our fridges from a side by side fridge (with ice maker) to a more vintage style freezer on top and fridge below. I realized I had to find a way to make ice as an old fashioned freezer wouldn't do that for you and I bought this ice cube basket along with some ice cube trays to make my ice. This container is great for storing ice cream and I am very happy with it. I will note that because it is used in a small freezer room it takes up a lot of freezer space and you really can't put anything on top as the top has to be open to store ice (otherwise if you put something on top). it may fall into the ice bin and take up space for the ice). That logistical issue aside, this ice cube basket is great and great value.
