I used to have 2 Camelbaks that I took to music festivals, bike rides and hikes. I have the classic Camelbak Hydration Pack, which worked great, but I wanted to upgrade and get a pack with more storage. I chose the Camelbak Rogue and had a nightmare with it. My bladder and tube burst while I was at the festival and that whole 2 liters of water flooded my entire bag and not only did I have to throw out my backpack but all my stuff was ruined. Luckily, Revain was kind enough to send me a replacement. Still, I did some research and settled on an off-label brand to see how it fared. First of all, this backpack is very high quality and durable. The straps are more like a traditional backpack and you don't even have to fasten the strap around your chest, but when you do it just keeps things in place and tighter. Second, the design of this water bag is PERFECT. The hydration bladder is in its OWN compartment and does not depend on other pockets for storage. You can simply remove the chamber, fill it completely, and then SIMPLY put it in your pocket and lock it. This was one of the downsides of the Camelbak backpacks I've had. It was really difficult to fill the bladder completely and then just put it in your pocket. But with Unigear I didn't have that problem. Worked perfectly! I recommend washing your bladder with warm, soapy water so you don't get plastic or bad taste when you drink. Third, this bag has a lot of storage space. And I mean a lot. They have two large front pockets for easy access and they also have small zipped compartments in the pockets to keep things organized. It was very handy to know where certain things are. The only downsides I can think of for this bag are two times. On the one hand, as mentioned in some other reviews, the tube dosage can be easily kinked when drinking. I found I had to unbuckle it from the strap and tug to "straighten" it out to actually allow the water to flow (and even after that the water flowed a little slower at times). Second, the backpack itself is made out of a cloth-like material (think real backpack) so it's a bit difficult to clean (whereas my camelbaks were more of a nylon/windbreaker material and were very easy to clean). As the hose kinks fairly easily I'm giving this one 4 stars out of 5 but I think for the price and functionality this penny for penny package compares to big branded and more expensive ones.
