I have an Auto Mate remote for my car. This is the 474A model listed on the back of the console. The remote worked fine but the small loop for attaching the key ring broke. It was a great alternative to buying and programming a new remote control. As you can see from the photos, the new remote control case is very similar in design to my original. It even comes with two button styles. All I had to do was open my remote, like changing a battery. Open the new case and then transfer the internal parts. Close a new case and it worked great. I highly recommend it.
