I noticed a similar product that sells for over $100 at a grocery store when I came across this 2 in 1 instant thermometer from Breeket at a great price. I have to admit that I was skeptical that a similar product could be offered for less than $13 and I was very happy with my decision to try it. First, I appreciate that the desired temperatures for beef, pork, and poultry are printed on the front of this thermometer. In addition, it comes with a reference chart that lists additional temperatures for products such as well-done, medium, and well-done beef. This thermometer comes with an extension probe that can be used to roast/bake food in the oven, allowing for constant temperature control and an easy to set alarm that flashes the LCD screen backlight. I would have liked the beep associated with the flashing light, but it's easy to get used to seeing the target temperature when using the alarm feature. I've used my new thermometer in so many dishes...everything from hot water to tea, meatloaf, roast chicken, pork tenderloin and London kebab. The temperature range of this thermometer can also be useful when making candy. This thermometer also has some features not found in the outrageously expensive retail model. I particularly appreciate that it has a fairly powerful magnet built into the case so it can be hung on the side of the fridge or grill during use or for storage. Be yourself at last. I needed to calm down knowing that the readings I was getting from this thermometer were accurate. Several times I compared the temperature with the readings of a conventional analogue thermometer. Of course, there were no differences between analog and digital thermometers. If you're considering adding this tool to your cooking set, you can't go wrong. Enjoy your meal!
