Unfortunately I'm still looking for the perfect kickstand. He was close, but just missed the target. First about the good. The stand looks great and is incredibly versatile. I put an iPad Pro 12.9" on it in both landscape and portrait modes and it worked really well and held all the positions I wanted. As far as stability goes, it's about as good as you'll get it would expect from something so small and portable. I think most people will be happy with the stability if they don't expect the stand to grip their device like in an iron claw. Think of its size and portability here. Lack rubber in the right places to avoid scratching the device. There are rubber bumpers on the back and inside of the feet that hold the device in place. The problem is that depending on the size and angle of the device, it may be in contact with the Cylindrical part of the stand can and does come that allows the stand to articulate. On an iPad Pro this means metal to metal touching if you don't have a case but the case doesn't suffice. On the inside bottom the legs is rubber. Hold your iPad. These feet are a bit narrow, which in and of itself isn't a problem, but the rubber doesn't extend around the edges of the feet, meaning your device's screen can make contact with the metal part of the top of the feet when you set it down or pick it up. It happened to me even though I was careful. Unfortunately this broke my deal and I'm still on the hunt for the perfect boner.
