Both legs are happy so I keep them

I love the style and color of this shoe and I love the warm, breathable, water-resistant Gore-Tex material. They are perfect for cool and wet weather. However, I am very pleased that I found a pair of shoes that fit my fickle feet. For neutral shoes, they are quite comfortable. I used to have high arches, but not anymore. Due to years of falling arches and long feet, I now have two very different feet. My old lady's legs are badly injured and - now - seldom agree. Usually if my left foot likes the shoes then the right foot will complain; and if my right foot likes the shoe, then my left foot complains. Every foot not only needs a different type of shoe, but also a different size. My left foot is half a size longer and slightly thinner and flatter than my right foot. Even if he still has a pretty good arch, he needs a neutral shoe. Unfortunately, my right foot needs a curved shoe with supination support. He would also prefer a wider shoe with more room at the top for the arch of the foot. I'm wearing bigger and bigger shoes to accommodate my left foot, but my right foot is slipping a bit while it's healing. When I walk with a neutral shoe to adjust my left foot, my right foot supines and puts a lot of weight on the side of the shoe. When I wear shoes that make my right foot happy and supportive, my left foot hurts. After a long search for shoes I decided on these. My left foot loves these shoes and my right foot is fine with them. This is one of the few types of shoes that my feet are reasonably okay with. A wider toe is also good. The only thing I would have liked would have been a little more room in the upper part of the shoe for those with a slightly higher arch. I measure my foot length and width and check the manufacturer before buying shoes online and I would say these shoes are slightly narrower than expected. I have fairly decent but not high arches and they barely fit my legs so there is a bit of pressure there. It's not serious though and I'm pretty sure it will go away once I break in my shoes. The cushioning in these shoes is great and makes up for a lot. I think this will protect my right knee well from supination damage. However, a person with larger arches may want to look elsewhere for stability and/or space. I can't comment on the durability of the shoes at the moment as I've just received them. But they look well made. I used to have Brooks Ghost shoes and they lasted over a year. I'm pretty rough on shoes and can easily replace a pair in under six months so I'm happy with my latest purchase. Hope these hold up too.

Pros
  • Smooth and responsive
Cons
  • Didn't feel any arch support, narrow toe box, no arch, tight feel - no pad. Returned.
