Poor packaging leads to thread damage

Although the cleats themselves look fairly well made and finished, the packaging ruins ALL hopes for these cleats. Let me preface that my family owns chrome. a shop that makes exhaust systems for D&D Exhaust and many other companies and works for companies across Texas (and beyond), so metal machining and proper cleaning is nothing new to me. I bought these along with a D3116-HT-2305/20 with jam nuts from DP Accessories and had real HELL when threading some of those studs onto the nut. Three of them were so badly damaged that I had to rethread the bolts so the lug nuts could be tightened evenly. go halfway. The box is CLEARLY designed for 20 rivets, but only 10 are shipped, and the bill came from a DFW-area company, but the actual product came from out of state (What the heck? Does that even make sense? So her make in Texas and then ship it somewhere else to ship BACK to Texas?) To make matters worse, at the time of delivery the Dorman box was placed in another box that was literally in the open air - there was NONE AT ALL Packing material to protect the box. , which is why the side flap broke when the rivets flew out in transit. I'm not sure how well they will hold up, or if they will last at all. There's no way they could be any worse than Ford's OEM bolts; so true. As for this particular company, I'm not entirely sure I'll ever order from them again. Nothing they do makes sense to me. You rob people of LIFE by giving them faulty hairpins.
