Is this advertised as odor removal? He actually fills the room with a pungent stench from the chemicals he's using, and apparently that's normal? Who wants to stink their room with something that smells like rotten stuff? Also, the fan or parts spinning inside will rattle like they're misaligned, and that's really annoying as otherwise everything would be quiet on low settings. Who knows, maybe that's normal with these dehumidifiers, I can't imagine them lasting long. And they cost three times more than compressor devices? It is not surprising that these things have not gained popularity. Also, don't expect to use this in the summer as it puts out just as much heat as a portable heater. I bought it because they are advertised as quiet and generate warmth when I get cold in my room in the winter and I have issues with humidity sometimes reaching 65% at 65F. But the smell of this thing really turns me off. Smells absolutely disgusting. And the noise it makes leads me to believe it won't last long. He comes back.
