Worth every penny! We have a 12 year old pitbull - she fell in love with swimming from her Newfoundland teacher :) A few years ago she had an ear problem which affected her balance, she ran into walls - it resolved but she left lasting damage apparently . . I didn't know this and took her to the lake where she quickly jumped and got water in her ear and started drowning in very deep water and I had my baby in a backpack on my back - she was literally seconds from drowning. but I managed to save them and not endanger my child, but only at the expense of my teeth. Since then we only let her into the water on a leash, which is very cumbersome and the leash can get caught on sticks under water. Well she's so old I didn't know if I should invest her for our last hike - I figured she could only use it once. I bought it anyway. BEST BUY EVER! She weighs about 80 pounds and the big one was roomy, fit well, was comfortable, looked good (if that matters), easy to manage, light weight, and swam and swam all day. dizzy - she shook it off and continued. It has a handle in case you need to pull your dog and you can also attach a leash. Seems to be very well made and sturdy.
