Works great when it wants!

The pump works great, it inflated the double air mattress quicker than I expected, but when I first plugged it into AC and then DC it didn't work! I figured it was a bad switch so I disassembled and bypassed it, that wasn't the problem, after playing around with it turned out to be the connection point on the device where the AC or DC outlet is located! So I had to press left or right to get it to work! Would I recommend that. of course not!
