I know what you're looking for because I was at this stage and still am - a device that converts a USB-C port into many USB-C -Ports turned C is probably because you've invested in some USB-C connected devices and don't have enough ports on your computer and it's probably a Mac. (after several weeks of trying) does not work. First, it doesn't work with self-powered devices (such as an external USB hard drive powered by the port). Second, it doesn't work with media (e.g. external monitor or webcam). It is best to connect the iPhone / iPad, but even in this case the power turns off after a while and the connection lasts no more than one session. I wish it worked better, and I'd say so and even recommend it to others who are oddly in the same boat (no one really does USB-C for the few USB-C devices I can find), but I am it got rid of the box and packing material, otherwise I would have sent it back - a big mistake.
