HP Pro 1000 Scanner
Got this scanner two weeks ago. It comes without installation software. The device installed perfectly on my first desktop computer. When I tried to use it on my laptop, the software wouldn't let me scan to PDF. Allowed only jpg, tiff and other formats. You cannot scan a multi-page document with the scanner. If you have Adobe, you can scan to PDF, but not to multi-page documents. HP customer support was not very helpful, spent an hour online and was never able to download any software to solve this problem. Tried to install on my wife's desktop. The device does not scan to PDF, only Tiff, Jpg. I ordered a solution from HP for $11. Will increase as I get new software.
