Something good first. The instructions were simple and easy to follow. The pieces are classified by letters and numbers, so you don't have to go from board to board looking for a specific number. It's fun because you can choose your own combination of locks and then create them. You have more than enough wooden sticks and wax to complete the project. In the end, it wasn't a bad wood project. Now for the not so great part. The wood used for this project was a little annoying. When I pulled out the pieces needed for one step, some pieces of wood still had small fragments. I had to spend a little more time cutting these little pieces. I had to do this with almost every piece. I found it amazing that I didn't mind how often this happened. Another thing is that part of the tree would split after assembling the part. This happened several times. I also understand that cutting out some of the details is part of the fun, but after a while it got more boring than fun. For example, in the kit you need to cut a thin wooden stick with a thickness of 6 mm. It's really a small piece. You'll have to cut a few sticks to get this length, but that's not the hardest part. The hardest part is getting the stick in the right place. It was incredibly difficult to get these tiny pieces into the hole. It was a crazy and tedious task. Second, you are not told that the top of the cover (the moving part of the gear) can fall off the cover. Turn the whole box upside down and it will come loose. There is nothing to tie this part to the box itself. It was a bit disappointing. In addition, the storage space in the box is quite small. Actually, I was disappointed with how small it is. The box is good overall, but it's a little disappointing. I have a "now what am I going to do with this" feeling because there isn't much storage space, the lid is easily removed, and most of the box goes to the locking mechanism and gears to move the tiny storage space. Somehow I felt like it wasn't worth it as I had hoped.
