I'm updating this review with 1 star. The first item I received had a malfunction that caused a spark so I had to return it. To be honest it looked like it had quality issues. I installed it anyway and pushed the button, knowing it looked pretty dodgy (hence the sparks). However, a new heated towel rail was delivered after a couple of weeks. Much more than I expected. I tested it the day before installing it, absolutely no problem. Not sure what $400 heated towel rails do that this one doesn't. It heats up very quickly, has a good temperature, looks good and is a really good size. The timer is handy but you have to make sure you press the 2 hour timer otherwise I don't think the power button will turn off automatically after a certain amount of time. If you can go to a store to look at built in heated towel rails I would suggest that. There may be better ones (e.g. automatic shutdown). I'm a bit nervous after my experience with the first one (there's never anything more important than first impressions!), but since the socket is GFCI there shouldn't be a problem. There are no directions. Make sure you know your stuff before buying this. We installed it. We couldn't understand why the fourth screw (pictured) is different than the others.
