Can only be used on flat surfaces. The needles of each snowflake are elastic and will not stick to the nail. No matter what consistency or type of glue I tried, I couldn't get the scale needles to stick to the curve of my nails, and I have fairly flat nails. I was so disappointed because the granola is so sweet.
