Gaming wise, this is a "fair" FPS test with Fraps playing FFXIV, 32 fps at best. The display brightness is terrible, you have to turn it up all the way to get a "decent" display. It needs serious improvement. The sound is low, I have to turn the volume up to 3-4 times the volume on my Asus laptop. On the other hand, it handles 3D gaming but not at the quality/level of a gaming laptop. Another plus is the backlit keyboard. I use mine to play FFXIV and it does the job pretty well. Plus other games too. This is a "you get what you pay for" case. Can I recommend this to a friend? Only if they don't expect the performance of a dedicated gaming laptop is it good enough for gaming or whatever.
