Improves grip when writing with a pencil and prevents reflections

Definitely eliminates reflections and gives a paper feel when writing with a pencil. The impact on color and resolution is noticeable; There's a tiny flicker that lets you know the screen is covered with something (think 2006 laptop matte screens). Also, the screen feels a little less sharp when reading; When watching a video, the effect is less pronounced. I think you will get used to the effects over time; I'll update if there's a noticeable difference. I wouldn't recommend it if you mainly use iPad for editing photos or movies, or if you just like the iPad's great screen the way it is. It doesn't appear to affect touch or stylus sensitivity. The application is a PITA; Because you have so much screen, it's almost impossible to put it down without dust sticking to the screen or film before you're done. The large size also makes it difficult to work with soap bubbles. However, I managed it in one attempt, with just a few tiny bubbles that aren't noticeable when actively using the iPad. Some sort of positioning/application tool is welcome, even if it adds a few bucks to the cost. As mentioned elsewhere, this is a plastic coating instead of glass. Not sure if this changes the protection, but think of it as scratch protection, not drop protection, and you won't be disappointed. Overall I wish there was something in terms of texture and visibility between this protection and the regular screen. Still not a bad buy for three packs for $8.
