Advantages: Fast and accurate. Pleasant in the hand. Clear viewfinder. Cons: Requires a steady hand. I'm shaking badly and have to lean on my golf cart to get a solid shot. But that's just me. It's easier when the flag is nearby. But at 160 yards and beyond, it's difficult to maintain stability. Don't think this range finder more than shakes me. Just buy CR2 batteries right away. Mine only lasted 2 rounds. I was on the first hole of round 3 when the battery light came on. I switched to another new battery. It was nonsense. Couldn't use it for the 3rd round.
