I live in a New York apartment where the temperature in different rooms fluctuates wildly in the summer; It is always hot on the upper floors, a bit chilly on the lower ones. With no apparent way to fix this in the short term, I tried to find a solution and then came across this cooling blanket. I was skeptical, but it seemed like this might be a relatively easy and inexpensive fix to our problem. What impressed me the most was that this blanket arrived on one of our hottest days and sat in the lobby of our building without air conditioning for several hours before I took it out and opened it. The ceiling felt very cool and even the inside of the box was cooler compared to the ambient temperature. The blanket itself came tightly packed, with no strong odors, so that's definitely a plus. I gifted the blanket to my teenage daughter as she has the hottest room. She thought I was crazy because I gave her a blanket in the summer. Since then I see her happily carrying the blanket through the apartment. Obviously, it's not just for comfortable sleep (but she does a lot of it, too). Overall we would definitely recommend this product as it absolutely works as advertised. It gets very warm if you turn it over, so I find it to be a fairly effective all-weather rug. In fact, this comforter works so well I came back here to order two more and thought I'd write a review while I'm here. My only complaint is that it doesn't come in more colors!
